A Bonus

So faking the curtains were not so easy!  Emergency phone call to Nae Nae at 7:30 to help me talk through what I was going to do!  Thanks Nae Nae!  I'm glad you had faith in me!  My 9 year old did not!  "Mom . . . Let me go wake A so she can help you.  You know you are old.  You are 36 with three grey hairs.  I don't think you can do this by yourself!"  When in the world did we go from Mom knows everything to Mom knows nothing.  Certainly hit this stage earlier with R than I did with A.  Oh my!  At least I have my 7 year old boy who thinks I hung the moon!  He doesn't want to marry me anymore, but he does want to live with me after college!

So your bonus . . . here it is.  My "living" room!  My new chairs!  LOVE IT!  I've got to find teal spray paint for the star.  I'm getting there!

Off to put the house back in order . . . does it ever end?

Faking It!

Dude!  I did it!  I "made" (oh alright!) I FAKED curtains!

So . . .  I'm going back to the real world next week and Nae Nae & DH have been after me about these curtains.  Apparently everyone is sick of the green curtains I've had up for the past 8 years!  Those were certainly a step up from the blue table cloth I had up when we first moved in (I was sleeping on a blowup mattress.  My standards were not very high!)

So here they are.  Considering that the next two weeks (I hoping for only 2 weeks) are going to be CRAZY with back to school hoopla, I had to fake it!  I'm still going to get my sewing machine.  I really want to make new pillows!  I'll get there!  Eventually!

So until then . . . I'll just continue to fake it!

Commitments

Why is it so hard for me to commit?  I have to think about things before I buy!  Am I in love with it now and will I be in love with it later?  Do I really need it or just want it?

Well . . . I did it!  I finally got a new computer!  My current one . . . it's older than my youngest child who is now 7 1/2.  New computer should be delivered on Tuesday!

I finally purchased fabric!  (I hear my sister, Nae-Nae cheering from across the country!)  Yes, I committed to fabric!
For my bedroom windows!

For a couple of throw pillows just because I love the fabric!

And finally for my teenager's bedroom!

OMG!  I've been thinking about fabric since January!

Oh, but the commitments didn't stop there!  Oh no my friend!  I also bought two chairs.
Check out these babies!  I was online with Nae-Nae picking out a slipcover for the oh so comfy chair that a local lady wanted $375 (not including fabric) to recover when  . . . the Overstock email came in! angelo:HOME Bradstreet Modern Damask Turquoise Blue Upholstered Armless Chair  It was meant to be!  I bought two!  Love!  Love!  Love!  Sale!  Sale! Sale!

So I am going to make my last commitment of the day.  I am going to go eat leftover Runza and watch
"The Brady Wives" with the Littles.
